I was introduced to Azure Standard about a year ago. I must admit, at first I was a little overwhelmed because I was shopping with a grocery store mentality. I was used to going up and down aisles, searching the sales ads for the best deals and clipping my coupons. I had to change my way to shopping.
We started our journey to healthier eating about two years ago. We have slowly made the switch. We now get farm fresh eggs from someone local. We buy lightly pasteurized milk from a farm in Kentucky that does not give their cow hormones or antibiotics and the cows are grass fed. We hardly ever go to the grocery store, instead we meet a big semi trailer in a parking lot to pick up our food. I joke that our children will not know what normal shopping is. We also have a garden and fruit trees and buy from local produce stands on occasion.
I feel comfortable buying from Azure Standard because they are a family run business who uses a family run trucking company called Covenant Ranch Trucking. The products they sell are all products they would have no problem feeding to their own families.
Here is there Azure in a nutshell ...
We specialize in natural, organic, earth-friendly foods and products. We deliver directly to customers, buying clubs and retailers by semi truck and UPS. If you're new to Azure, start by reading our guide to getting started.
Here are some items that I buy on a fairly regular basis -
Cream Cheese
Sprouted Wheat Bagels
Yogurt
Produce - changes depending on seasonal availability
Buttermilk
Orange Juice
Bulk Items - frozen fruits, frozen vegetables, grains, beans.
They also have natural home and body products. Here are a couple that I purchase -
J.R. Liggetts Shampoo bar
Earthpaste
There are other items I have bought in bulk, and only buy once or twice a year. Those are things such as pizza sauce, canned mushrooms, coconut milk, tomato paste, tomato sauce, etc.
Where I live, I only order once a month. It did take me a little time to get used to it, but now I would have it no other way. I average between $180-$250 per month.
I am not as organized as I would like to be when it comes to shopping monthly according to what I will be preparing, but I am getting better at it. I enjoy the fact that I can pay pretty reasonable prices for quality food. I enjoy the fact that I can buy in bulk so I can stock up my pantry.
If you have any questions about buying from Azure Standard, let me know. I would also like to add that their customer service is amazing. They are courteous, quick to respond and extremely helpful. Coventant Ranch Trucking is also amazing. Each time they deliver they are prompt, helpful and courteous.
