After hitting a couple bumps in the road with my back, I decided to try going to see a chiropractor. In the past I have been adamantly against chiropractors, mainly out of fear and lack of knowledge. But since I have been trying a more holistic approach to healthcare, I thought I would give it a try.
The chiropractor that I saw was extremely nice. He has a small office that he runs with his wife. They bring their children to work with them. It is extremely family friendly, which is great because I brought my children with me. Before he started, he made sure that I was comfortable and knew every adjustment that he was going to make. Since I am better (less likely to tense up) if I do not have everything explained, I asked him to just adjust me without explanation. He agreed it was probably best.
He encouraged me to keep moving. He, as well as his wife, told me that being sedentary was actually worse for me than moving.
I have kept moving. Not walking every day like I wanted to, but I keep moving.
So far I am down 7 pounds. I'm pretty happy with that number.

So glad to hear this, my husband is a chiro and when we first opened we had our kids in the office. :)
